Scripting In A Nutshell is a an interactive program developed with the purpose of initiating beginners to basic UNIX commands.

This program teaches you UNIX commands inside a UNIX terminal so that you can get started the fastest way possible. You will learn to navigate inside a directory, read, peek into or delete files and folders in just a handful of minutes.

Being a web developer, I use my terminal daily but I never dove deep into learning more about it, let alone learning about the UNIX environment .

As you may know, in Data Science for Life Sciences, the UNIX environment is a pretty big deal. You basically can’t do bioinformatics if you skip it. It may intimidate you at the start but if you’re anything like me you will you will get hooked very fast.
